Институт биорегуляции и геронтологии организован в 1992 г. с целью реализации фундаментальных и прикладных задач в области биорегуляции и геронтологии. Одной из целей создания института было внедрение в медицинскую практику результатов 20-летних экспериментальных и клинических исследований нового класса лекарственных препаратов – пептидных биорегуляторов, созданных в научно-исследовательской лаборатории биорегуляторов Военно-медицинской академии МО РФ. По решению Президиума РАМН в 1998 г. Институт включен в состав Северо-Западного отделения РАМН (на условиях самофинансирования).

В Институте организовано 7 лабораторий и 10 научных групп, оснащенных современным оборудованием.

В составе Ученого Совета Института 11 докторов наук (9 докторов медицинских наук, 1 доктор биологических наук, 1 доктор химических наук) и 10 кандидатов наук (7 кандидатов медицинских наук, 2 кандидата биологических наук, 1 кандидат химических наук).

Основные направления научно-исследовательской деятельности института:

Изучение механизмов старения;

Изучение свойств и механизмов действия пептидных биорегуляторов;

Изучение влияния пептидных биорегуляторов на механизмы старения;

Разработка и внедрение в медицинскую практику новых лекарственных препаратов на основе пептидных биорегуляторов;

Изучение генотипа животных и человека с целью совершенствования методов диагностики, прогнозирования и лечения возрастной патологии.

В Институте впервые в мировой медицинской практике разработана для применения новая медицинская технология (биорегулирующая терапия) для восстановления и сохранения основных функций органов и тканей организма в пределах генетически детерминированного срока жизни человека (100-110 лет), основанная на многолетнем опыте научных, биотехнологических и медицинских исследований в области биорегуляции и геронтологии.

В результате проводимых в Институте исследований установлены основные механизмы развития преждевременного старения и разработан способ комплексного применения новых пептидных биорегуляторов для замедления процессов старения и увеличения продолжительности жизни до верхнего видового предела (в эксперименте на 30-40 %).

К настоящему времени в Институте разработаны и находятся на разных стадиях изучения и внедрения три класса биологически активных веществ:

1. Цитомедины (лекарственные препараты) – комплексы полипептидов с молекулярной массой 1000-10000 дальтон, обладающие способностью индуцировать процессы специфической дифференцировки в популяции клеток, являющихся исходным материалом для их получения. Введение цитомединов в организм способствует восстановлению специфических функций органов и тканей в случае их угнетения в результате патологического процесса или при старении. Разрешены к медицинскому применению лекарственные полипептидные препараты Тималин, Эпиталамин, Простатилен, Кортексин, Ретиналамин.

2. Цитамины (биологически активные добавки к пище) – нуклеопротеиновые комплексы, полученные из органов и тканей животных. Являются физиологическими корректорами функций организма и применяются для профилактики различных заболеваний и патологических состояний, а также для замедления процессов старения и повышения качества жизни человека. 3. Цитогены (лекарственные препараты) – синтетические пептиды. Новый класс биорегуляторов, обладающих высокой тканеспецифической активностью в сверхмалых дозах. Совместно с ведущими генетиками страны впервые разработана комплексная система диагностики структурной организации 20 генов, позволяющих определить предрасположенность к развитию заболеваний сердечно-сосудистой системы, онкологических заболеваний и характер нарушений обменных и регуляторных процессов. Впервые внедрены в практику схемы профилактики развития генетически детерминированной патологии с использованием пептидных биорегуляторов. Впервые разработан не имеющий аналога в мировой клинической практике способ лечения пептидными биорегуляторами заболеваний сетчатки, ведущих к слепоте.

За этот период обследовано и находилось на лечении около 1500 человек. Эффективность проводимого лечения отмечалась в 96,7% случаев по субъективным показателям состояния здоровья, а в 58,1-81,7% – по объективным показателям.

При активном участии Института биорегуляции и геронтологии в 1994 г. организовано Геронтологическое общество РАН (президентом общества избран профессор В. Н. Анисимов, вице-президентом – профессор В. Х. Хавинсон).

В 1996 г. Институт организовал Международный симпозиум «Геронтологические аспекты пептидной регуляции функций организма», проходивший в Санкт-Петербурге.

Институт проводит научно-исследовательскую работу совместно с ведущими научно-исследовательскими и лечебными учреждениями Москвы, Санкт-Петербурга, Читы, Киева и Харькова.

По результатам экспериментального и клинического изучения пептидных биорегуляторов проведено 4 конференции в России. Специалисты Института выступали с докладами на 10 Международных симпозиумах и конгрессах (Россия, Нидерланды, Австрия, Греция, Румыния, Австралия, Финляндия, Дания, Германия).

Окончил Военно-медицинскую академию им. С.М. Кирова. Полковник медицинской службы запаса.

Основные научные интересы связаны с созданием, экспериментальным и клиническим изучением — геропротекторов, а также с разработкой теоретических и практических основ биорегулирующей терапии и геронтологии.

27 января 2017 года Владимир Хацкелевич Хавинсон был награжден Орденом Дружбы за большой вклад в развитие здравоохранения, медицинской науки и многолетнюю добросовестную работу.

Пинаев Роман Николаевич

В 1999 году окончил Государственную Медицинскую академию имени И.И. Мечникова г.Санкт-Петербург. Прошел клиническую ординатуру по специальности «Онкология», врач-онколог, кандидат медицинских наук, вице-президент Общества Антивозрастной Медицины.В настоящее время занимается исследованием эффективности различных классов геропротекторов и разработкой новых классов препаратов, направленных на профилактику различных патологий, ассоциированных с возрастом, предупреждение преждевременного старения и продление активного долголетия. Ведет исследовательскую работу посвященную профилактике онкологических заболеваний, а также является одним из ведущих научных сотрудников лаборатории возрастной клинической патологии Санкт-Петербургского Института биорегуляции и геронтологии при СЗО РАМН.

Горгиладзе Давид Амиранович

Старший научный сотрудник лаборатории возрастной клинической патологии Санкт-Петербугского Института биорегуляции и геронтологии СЗО РАМН. В PEPTIDES возглавляет работу по клиническому изучению эффективности комплексов пептидов; а также по разработке и внедрению новейших препаратов и передовых технологий для anti-ageing медицины и косметологии класса премиум. В активе более 300 препаратов различных классов и групп сложности. Автор новой доктрины ревитализации в anti-ageing медицине.
